First, you'll need either Microsoft Office or OpenOffice to read the XLS file (Openoffice is available free from www.OpenOffice.org )

Once you've opened the file in Excel or OpenOffice, select the columns of data containing the numbers, and COPY. When I tried this with OpenOffice, the copied numbers still didn't import correctly into Analysis Lotto. I had to open WordPad and paste the numbers there first (WordPad comes free with your computer, it's in your Windows Accessories folder.) I copied the data with the mouse again from Wordpad. Once I did this, I could paste it as text correctly into the Analysis Lotto import window.

Choose state and game, click on YEAR for past year results. Select numbers with mouse, COPY, paste into A:L, Have REVERSE and INTELLIGENT IMPORT checked, set first POSITION box to 15, click GO, then ADD or REPLACE.
